Michael Bernhard Ltd hairdressers, in Heathway, were unable to show inspectors their waste transfer notes on Wednesday, 19 June 2019.
Enforcement officers gave the owner, Mr Bernhard, a seven-day extension but he still did not show them the records.
Not keeping documentation of all waste produced and transferred is a criminal offence which is punishable by an unlimited fine and criminal record.
As a result, Bernhard was issued with a £300 fixed penalty notice which he also failed to pay and was summoned to court.
He did not attend the hearing at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 6 April and was found guilty and ordered to pay a total of £982 in fines, costs and victim surcharge.
Businesses are being reminded to dispose of their waste responsibly to ensure no harm is done to the environment.
