Archie Knight was riding a black Honda motorbike when he collided with a car in Stifford Road shortly before 1.40pm on Saturday, 10 April. He sadly passed away following the incident.
In a statement, his family said: “Archie was a caring, loving and very thoughtful child.
“His larger-than-life character was loved by many and will be greatly missed.”
Three people have been arrested in connection with the collision and have been released under investigation.
Police are still appealing for anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.
