The victim was attacked in Coolfin Road shortly before 2.45pm on Monday, 26 April.
Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene but despite their efforts he died.

A crime scene has been established and a section 60 has been authorised for the whole of Newham until 7am tomorrow morning. It allows officers to stop and search people without reasonable grounds.
No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation at this early stage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 4050/26 April.

It is the second fatal stabbing to take place in Canning Town in less than a week.
Fares Maatou, 14, was stabbed to death in Barking Road shortly before 4pm on Friday, 23 April.
A teenager, 14, has since been charged with his murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Two other boys, aged 15, were arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed to a date late in May.
