One man was treated by paramedics
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters were called to a blaze at a semi-detached house in Hedgemans Way at around 10.35pm on Tuesday, 10 August.
“As crews arrived, thick, black smoke could be seen coming from the bottom left window of the building,” said Station Office Darren Placid.
“A number of local people were outside the property and firefighters carried out a systematic search of the house to make sure that no one was inside.”
London Ambulance Service crews treated one man.
Part of the ground and first floors of the property were damaged by the blaze.
“Crews worked incredibly hard to quickly bring the fire under control and extinguished multiple seats of fire,” added Station Officer Placid.
The fire was extinguished by 11.20pm.
