250 litres of diesel spilled onto the M25 near Brentwood (credit: Google Maps)
A car and car transporter collided this morning at around 6.15am on the entry slip road, at Junction 28 for Brook Street Roundabout, resulting in damage to the fuel tank.
The driver of the car was treated for minor injuries.
The inside lane was closed for several hours whilst 250 litres of diesel was cleared off the carriageway.
No arrests have been made.
The Brook Street Roundabout also faced extra delays this morning with queues from the Shell Garage, just off the roundabout itself.
This had a knock on effect on the A12 between J12 (Shenfield) and the roundabout itself.
Traffic lights are reportedly not working on the Brook Street roundabout either.
