Teenager taken to hospital after stabbing in Dagenham

Officers were called to Merrielands Crescent yesterday

A teenager has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Dagenham.

Emergency services were called to Merrielands Crescent, near the Retail Park, at 5.45pm yesterday where the 16-year-old was found with stab wounds.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There have been no arrests made.

A crime scene was put in place.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
