Police appeal for witnesses after serious collision in Upminster

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Upminster. 

Police responded to reports a van had been stolen in Hall Lane at around 11.15pm on Monday, 25 October. 

As officers arrived at the scene they found it had crashed into other vehicles. 

Two men, who were both believed to be in the van, were taken to hospital after being treated for head injuries. 

One of them is aged in his early 30s and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

The second man, aged in his late 50s, is still in hospital in a stable condition.

No one else was injured during the collision. 

Any witnesses, particularly anyone with dash cam or film footage, are asked to call detectives from the SCIU based at Chadwell Heath on 0208 597 4874.
