Mohammed Aqil Mahdi, from Camden, was found unresponsive with stab wounds in Navigation Road, at around 8.40am on Saturday, 6 November.
Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is being arranged in due course.
No arrests have been made.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
DCI Laurence Smith said: “Our investigation is at an early stage, but we are making progress. I am determined to get justice for the victim’s family by finding whoever is responsible for this murder.
“I urge any witnesses or anyone who saw anything that may be significant to please make contact with police, or with Crimestoppers, and share what they know.”

The 22-year-old’s family have set up a fundraising page in his legacy.
Funds raised from this campaign will be used to establish Sadaqa Jariyah projects on his behalf.
