Three men arrested following murder of 22-year-old in Bromley-by-Bow

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 22-year-old in Bromley-by-Bow.

Mohammed Aqil Mahdi, from Camden, was fatally stabbed in Navigation Road on the morning of Saturday, 6 November.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course.

One suspect, aged 18, attended a north London police station on Monday, 8 November and was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A second man, aged 21, was also arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Tower Hamlets earlier today.

Officers arrested a third man, aged 28, on suspicion of murder in Tower Hamlets a short time later. 

All of the suspects remain in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith, said:“The inquiry is progressing, but we are still looking for anyone with information.

“We need the public’s support to make London a safer place for everyone and you can assist by picking up the phone and telling us what you know.
