Police in Epping are appealing for information after an elderly man was robbed and assaulted in his home.

Three men broke into the victim’s house in Chapel Road at around 10pm on Tuesday, 7 December, taking sentimental jewellery, along with a sum of cash.

Officers said the man in his 70s was left shaken after the group assaulted him.

The suspects left the property in a vehicle that is believed to have travelled out of the area via Epping High Street and towards Loughton.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, citing incident 1228 of December 7.
