Bus route 362 runs from King George Hospital to Grange Hill
Changes on route 362 have been introduced following discussions between TfL and the Hospital to better align with shift patterns.
Some staff previously had long waits after shifts with buses departing the hospital at the same time they finished.
The route, which runs from the Hospital to Grange Hill station, will have improved timings between 3pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday.
Over the weekend, times have been revised between 9am and 10pm on Saturday and between 9.30am and 9pm on Sunday. Services on the route outside these times remain unchanged.
The same frequency of buses is still running each day.
TfL’s Director of Public Transport Planning, Geoff Hobbs said: “The King George Hospital employs so many people in Redbridge and it’s crucial that local transport helps staff get from A to B efficiently so they can carry out their essential roles, especially during the pandemic.
“The bus is an affordable, accessible way to get around, and gives the opportunity for customers to switch off during a busy day.
“Encouraging more people to travel this way instead of using the car will cut congestion, leading to quicker journeys to and from work, and help reduce toxic emissions, which will make a huge difference to our health.”
The full revised timetable can be found on TfL’s website.
