One driver was very nearly hit on Monday evening (Credit: Ensign)
Bus company Ensign said they were “targeted by youths” and shot at “possibly by pellet guns” in a statement on Twitter.
Two vehicles had their windows smashed while in service in River View at around 6pm on Monday, 31 January.
Another bus was also damaged in Marshfoot Road, near Gateway Academy, shortly before 8.45pm on the same day.
Ensign said the shots could have “seriously injured the driver” of one of the buses.
It said they were “despicable acts” and if they continued to happen the 77A would have to be curtailed.
Detectives are investigating both incidents and have asked anyone who saw anything or who has CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident 1151 of January 31.
