One of the nine winners will be presented with a special tenth award at a ceremony at the Premiere Cinemas in March
Three small businesses have made it through to the final of each of the nine categories which include Best Takeaway and Best Tradesperson.
Havering Council received more than 3,000 nominations for over 250 individual businesses during the two-week nomination period.
Residents will be able to vote for the winners online from Monday, 7 February until Sunday, 27 February.

Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council, said: “We have been completely bowled over by the fantastic public response to these awards, and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to recognise their favourite Havering small businesses.
“I’m also thrilled with the range of businesses that have been nominated – anything from beauty salons and restaurants, to gaming groups and a hotel for cats.”
The winner for each category will be announced at a reception at the Premiere Cinemas in Romford in March, hosted by Time 107.5 FM’s Mark Dover.
A panel will then pick one of the winners and present them with a special tenth award, ‘The Havering Small Business of the Year Award’.
The Romford Business Improvement District is the key sponsor of the awards.
Director Julie Frost has thanked the “thousands of people who took the time to vote for their favourite business”.
She said: “We were particularly pleased to see a good number of the many fantastic Romford businesses represented among the nominations.
“Now we would like to encourage everyone to get behind our finalists and vote for their favourites prior to the closing date on 27 February.
“After the last two years, this is such a boost to our small business community and we are delighted to be a key sponsor.”
