The officers responded to reports a large group of people were causing a disturbance in Courtyard Mews at 8.10pm last night.
They detained one boy for possession of an offensive weapon but were injured during the process.
Both officers were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The boy was taken to an east London police station and further arrested for grievous bodily harm.
Detectives are still investigating the incident.
