Man stabbed in the head by thugs in Hornchurch

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Hornchurch. 

The victim, aged in his 30s, was attacked by a group of people, who also stole his watch, in Laburnum Avenue at around 2.45am today. 

Emergency services found him with a stab injury to his head and rushed him to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. 

Detectives are investigating the assault but have not yet made any arrests.
