Local residents will still be able to enjoy the event next month
The event was originally due to be held on Sunday, 18 September, the day before the Queen’s state funeral.
It will now take place at Christchurch Green from 11am until 6pm on Sunday, 2 October instead.
The festival is free and will feature a mix of music and performances across two main stages.
There will also be family friendly attractions such as a craft fair hub, dog competition and children’s rides.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s Wanstead festival,” said Councillor Jo Blackman.
“The festival has gone from strength to strength with more visitors each year and an exciting range of activities, events and stalls for all the community to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there.”
