This year there were nine awards, with the winners and nominees chosen by a public online vote.
Storky Baby & Children were crowned the Small Retailer of the Year at a special ceremony on Wednesday, 28 September while McDonalds was named Large Retailer of the Year.
Wilko won the Community Recognition award for its contribution to charitable events. They provided Easter eggs to the elderly in spring, gathered animal food for the local charity Wanderers Haven and started a new initiative to collect hygiene and home products for the local Women’s Aid charity.

The Shining Star award went to Chyna, a retail assistant from The Entertainer who has since been promoted to a managerial role in Ilford for her hard work and bubbly persona.
Other winners on the night included Bonmarché for their customer service, BB’s Muffins and Coffee for their efforts to recycle and Ella Bella’s for their visual merchandising.
Natalie Bays, deputy centre manager, said: “It is warming to see our centre community being proud of their achievements this year, congratulations and a big well done to everyone who was nominated and came home with an award. A nomination in such a big retail environment is an award in itself”

The event was themed around Game of Thrones. It featured a three-course meal, a local acoustic ‘Kings of Pop’ set, a medieval animal experience hosted by Exotic Explorers and live fire and contortion performances.
Spencer Hawken, centre manager, added: “The ability to award people for what they have done for the centre is truly inspirational, and all of the winners on the evening are so deserving of accolade.”
