The council received 75 complaints about dogs barking in Warrington Square (Credit: Google)
Czseslaw Lukiewicz had eight Staffordshire Bull Terriers that were regularly barking and disturbing his neighbours in Warrington Square.
The local council received 75 complaints about the noise and sent officers to investigate.
They initially gave him a written warning but the barking continued and he was issued with a noise abatement notice.
Lukiewicz continued to ignore the council and officers decided to prosecute him after recording two breaches of the notice.
He pleaded guilty to breaching the noise abatement notice at Barkingside Magistrates Court in September.
The dog owner was ordered to pay £100 each for the two breaches, £100 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
Councillor Syed Ghani, cabinet member for community safety and enforcement, said: “We take noise complaints very seriously and every effort is made to resolve issues without resorting to legal proceedings, however, if offenders ignore our advice and think they know better, then we won’t hesitate to prosecute.
“Barking dogs can make neighbours lives a misery and this fine should send a clear message to dog owners that they need to be responsible owners and look after their pets or risk falling foul of the law.”
