A 19-year-old man was found by emergency services with stab injuries after he was attacked on Whalebone Lane South on Thursday, 2 May at around 5.30pm.
Met Police initially received reports that a man had been stabbed but then received a second call from a member of public who said they’re heard gunshots in the area.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in hospital in a critical condition. His next of kin has been informed.
A teenager, aged 17, will appear at Barkingside Youth Court on Monday, 20 May charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, being in possession of a pointed/bladed article in a public place and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He had been arrested by Met officers in Birmingham on Friday, 17 May.
Previously, two teenagers, both 17, were arrested in the Ashford area of Kent on Friday 10 May. They were transferred to London for questioning and were later charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Both appeared at Barkingside Youth Court on Monday, 13 May. They were remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 10 June.
In total, five men and a woman, aged between 18 and 25 years old, had previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
