A127 lorry crash has now cleared after a major accident involving heading towards Brentwood

An accident involving multiple lorries and vans caused severe delays on the A127 heading westbound before Warley Street and Brentwood.

It happened around 7am this morning and traffic was queuing for up to eight miles. Drivers were warned it could take up to over an hour to get through.

All lanes have now been re-opened and traffic appears to be clearing.

Emergency services were called to the scene.
