Breakfast

With Neil Andrews

Birthday Bonanza, Oman take 2, the wedding, the baby shower and The Chiltern Hills! #November

Thank you to everyone who wished me all the best for my trip to the British School of Muscat in Oman. It was FANTASTIC!

The students, pupils, and staff really appreciated our performances and talks we did and we were really looked after. It was a great experience. (see more about what we do on www.n-acttheatre.co.uk)

INVISIBLE is an important play about mental health – for people of all ages and we can’t wait to share mental health awareness to more schools and businesses in the new year.

To continue the support for mental health awareness  I was part of a virtual reality shoot last week that will be sent to businesses to give guidance on mental health support in the workplace.

Being able to reach out for help is as easy as joining in with our Breakfast show TIME TUNNEL! Just reach out to someone you feel safe with, whether it’s friends, family or your GP. Have a chat (And it doesn’t matter if you can’t explain how you feel/get the year wrong!) It’s the communication that is key.

It’s ok to not be ok

In other news – last month I’ve also had a nice trip to the Chiltern Hills! Highly recommended if you love the countryside and we were minutes away from Oxford and Hemel Hempstead, so could do all the touristy things as well as watching the cows wander around in the field next door when having breakfast! I even got to watch the launch of the last short film I produced go live on Halloween in the cottage we stayed in! Appropriately spooky being in the middle of ‘nowhere’, but comforting at the same time as the cottage was so cosy.

It’s always nice to have a change of scenery, but it’s a shame to miss out on the breakfast show fun.

One thing I didn’t miss out on, which I thought I might! Was the birth of my best friends little boy William! He was due when I was working abroad, but he was so thoughtful he arrived a week early!! And Mum  did an amazing job with an over 25-hour labour and stressful birth. Congratulations mum and dad!  (It seems not that long ago I was nervous about organising the baby shower!!)

And I was very excited to be a bridesmaid at my friend’s at the end of October, (That came round fast!)  The venue was decorated beautifully, the cake, sweets and evening treats made sure I won’t fit back into the dress in a hurry! (Of course, I did make the most of the bar… who wouldn’t!) The speeches were so entertaining and it was amazing fun. The bride squad are such an ace bunch of women and it was a wonderful day. Congratulations to the brilliant Mr and Mrs Bakonyvari!

and…

IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY! I spent time with friends and family in Southend and Cambridge, Saw MCFLY at the O2 and will be seeing ‘Present Laughter’ at a National Theatre live showing this week too. I was thoroughly spoilt.

I even got the epic cake from Vix Cakes Essex too as a lovely gift! – Check out her cakes!
