27-year-old Grineo Daka, from Statford, died after being shot in the back at Phoenix Snooker Club in 2019.
Jeton Krasniqi, 20, from Kershaw Road, was convicted of his murder at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (25 May).
In July 2019, Krasniqi went to the snooker club on Lea Bridge Road, to seek revenge for an argument there the previous day.
Grineo was lured back to the venue, where Krasniqi was waiting with three other men.
A fight broke out and four shots were fired from a gun that had been smuggled into the venue.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley said, “The club had about 50 people in it that night, and it is only by pure luck that more people weren’t injured or killed.
“The two additional discharged bullets that were recovered by our forensics team could quite easily have struck other people.”
Krasniqi was also found guilty of possession of a firearm and wounding another man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
A second man, 30-year-old Edison Brahimi from Islington, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
A third man, who was present in the club, was charged in 2019 but died whilst awaiting trial.
A fourth man remains outstanding and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
