UPDATE: Man in life-threatening condition after being hit by a train at Goodmayes Station

A man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a train at Goodmayes Station this morning.

TfL Rail and Greater Anglia are still being delayed between Shenfield and Liverpool Street.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Goodmayes station at 6.55am today after reports of a person being struck by a train.

“Colleagues from the ambulance service also attended and a man was taken to hospital with what are thought to be life-threatening injuries. His family has been informed.

“This incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield while the emergency services deal with an incident at Goodmayes. Greater Anglia services are also suspended through this station. London Underground and London Buses are accepting tickets via reasonable routes.
