Detectives launch murder investigation in Newham

A 43-year-old woman remains in police custody

Detectives in Newham have launched a murder investigation after a man was killed at a residential address in Ringlet Close.

Police were called to the address by the London Ambulance Service at 03:40 on Friday 10, September to reports of a man with stab wounds.

Officers attended and despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man, aged in his early 30s, was pronounced dead at 04:14. 

His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification has not taken place.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating to establish how the man came by his injuries. 

A 43-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, she was taken to an East London police station where she remains in custody. 

Police would like to speak with anyone with information, particularly those who would have been in the vicinity of Ringlet Close and may have heard have seen or heard anything.
