31-year-old, Vinny Mitchell, was pronounced dead at the scene in New Road yesterday at around 5.20pm.
As a former professional boxer, he won 12 out of 13 fights during his career.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
No one else was injured during the incident according to reports.
