A Harold Hill man’s been jailed after pleading guilty to two burglaries in Chelmsford.
Perry Streamer, of Widecombe Close, was jailed for two years for the burglaries.
He also pleaded guilty to fraud.
A wallet and car were taken from a property in May, with another house broken into in November, where two vehicles, handbags and a purse were taken.
Streamer used a stolen credit card at a Mcdonald’s drive-through in Romford and was caught on CCTV.
He was arrested following a police chase a few days later.
Investigating officer Dc Lauren Strangward, of Harlow CID, said: “Streamer broke into his victim’s homes as they slept and then drove away with their personal possessions and cars.
“He believed he was above the law and even used a stolen card to treat himself to fast food. It was only a matter of time until we located and arrested him.
“Streamer has shown no remorse for his actions and will now spend time locked in a prison cell.”
