Data collected by the Office for National Statistics shows there are only 76 single men for every 100 available females in the borough.
Only Bromley has fewer men, with 73 per 100 women.
In other local boroughs, Barking and Dagenham has 84 men and Redbridge 89 per 100 ladies respectively.
Charly Lester, co-founder of dating app Lumen, said this reflects the UK population, which has a higher proportion of women than men.
The result is that it’s tougher for women to find a significant other.
But on the opposite side of this study, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and the City of London are deemed the best places for women looking for romance.
All three have more men than women, with the City having 125 single males per 100 ladies.
Charly said: “Women will choose jobs which are located more in the suburbs and when it comes to central London you see more men in those areas.
“There are often more single mothers normally in those areas than single fathers, which sadly means if you are in certain boroughs it might be tougher.”
Charly also explained Lumen is specifically designed to help those over 50 become lucky in love, because they are “a newer generation to dating apps.”
She suggested users increase their location parameters to increase the chances of finding a match.Tags: Havering
