A Hornchurch children’s clothing store is closing its doors for a final time after 38 years.

Young Fashions’ owner Naseem Beg has decided to close the shop following her retirement.

Councillors Barry Mugglestone, Stephanie Nunn, Julie Wilkes and Gerry O’Sullivan of Hornchurch Residents’ Association were invited for tea and samosas at Young Fashions on Saturday, 28 August to celebrate Mrs Beg’s longevity where she was presented with flowers.

Mrs Beg said she had mixed feelings on leaving the shop, she had been very happy there, but felt it was time to retire.

The Elm Parade store will open for one final day of trading on Saturday, 4 September.
