A man from Hornchurch has been arrested after a stabbing in Southend.
The 20-year-old is suspected of GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.
It’s after a man in his 20s was stabbed in Gordon Road at around 5.45pm yesterday.
He was airlifted to hospital and is now in a stable condition.
Police believe the victim was approached by four men and then attacked.
He was found in nearby Warrior Square.
Detective Inspector Dave Richards said: “We are considering all avenues of this investigation including the possibility that this may have been a targeted attack.
“We would like to reassure the community that we are doing all we can to find those responsible.
“Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Dc Andy Coles on 101, quoting incident 816 of March 22.”
