The 49-year-old, who has been in charge for just over a year, has agreed a new contract to stay at Brisbane Road until 2021.
Justin Edinburgh told leytonorient.com: “It was an easy decision for me to sign this extension, there was no second thought, it was just when can we get it done and how long can it be for. I don’t think I have been happier for many a year now.”
After steering the O’s from the National League’s relegation places last season, Edinburgh’s side is now top of the division and hoping to gain promotion to League Two this season.
Orient have 57 points so far, two clear of Salford and three ahead of Solihull Moors.
They have conceded just 20 goals in their 29 games, fewer than anyone else in the league.
Chairman Nigel Travis said: “Justin has demonstrated in the last 13 months what a great leader he is for Leyton Orient Football Club. We are absolutely delighted that he has agreed to extend his stay with us and I believe this will have a very positive impact on the Club as a whole.”
The O’s are in FA Trophy Action this weekend, with a visit to Wrexham in the second round of the tournament.
