Man and woman from Dagenham arrested after toys stolen from inside car

The van was stopped by police this morning.

A man and woman, from Dagenham, have been arrested on suspicion of theft, after children’s toys where taken from inside a car in Brentwood.

Officers from the area’s local policing team stopped a yellow Sprinter van in Ongar Road this morning (Monday, 18 May).

The arrests followed reports that the van had been involved in the theft of children’s toys, which had been taken from inside a car on Selwood Road, on Sunday, 10 May.

A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of theft.

The man has also been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified.

The pair remain in custody for questioning.
