Driver fighting for his life after Brentwood collision

A man has been taken to hospital after a collision in Brentwood this morning.

Shortly after 3am, the driver of a Nissan Micra failed to stop on Brook Street when asked to by officers. 

The Nissan then collided with a lamppost on the road.

The driver has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. 

Police are advising people to avoid the area as investigations take place.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 93 of October 17.
