Mohammed Anhar Ali, 32 and of Blake Avenue, was charged last night with the murder of 25-year-old Nazia Ali from Bow.
Ali will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today.
The charge follows the discovery of a woman’s body in Ellesmere Road yesterday morning.
A post-mortem exam will take place tomorrow.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
They are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.
