Man left fighting for his life after assault at Stratford station

Officers attended Stratford station at 19:40 following reports of an assault

A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a serious assault at Stratford train station. 

Officers were called to the station at 19:40 on January 16 following reports of a serious assault. 

Paramedics also attended where they found a 51-year-old man with injuries that are being described as life-threatening. 

Police have arrested one man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. 

They’d like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident as their investigation continues.
