Man wanted after failing to show up in court for drug offences

A Newham man is wanted after failing to turn up to court after being found guilty of drug offences.

29-year-old Arthur Khanye was sentenced to five years in prison in his absence at Snaresbrook Crown Court in October 2017, after being found guilty of supplying Class A and B drugs.

He was arrested following a search of his home in 2016 by officers from the Met’s Trident operation. During the search, they found a quantity of drugs.

Khanye was known to frequent the North Woolwich area of Newham as well as having connections with Essex.

Detective Sergeant Paul Deville: “We have carried out extensive enquiries to locate Khanye after he failed to appear at court. Unfortunately, these have proven to be unsuccessful.

“I would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact police so that his attempts to evade justice can be stopped.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact The Met Police on 020 8345 4125 or via 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 02SD/631436.
