Parking to be made free in Havering as lockdown restrictions ease

The Havering Heroes parking permit for NHS and other key workers has also been extended until June (credit: Google Maps)

Parking in Havering will be made free for four weeks when coronavirus lockdown restrictions ease.

Havering Council is providing free parking from Monday, 12 April to help support high streets and town centres when they re-open.

Parking fees in all Council car parks and on-street parking bays will be suspended until Sunday, 9 May.

The free parking scheme on Sundays will still remain in place after this time.

The Havering Heroes parking permit for NHS and other key workers has also been extended until Monday, 21 June.

The permit allows these key workers to park in resident bays and Council car parks for free, for up to three hours during weekdays and weekends.
