Officers have released images of some of the men they’d like to speak with following the burglary.
Eight men, armed with machetes, entered a residential property in Brookscroft Road at 05:00 on Thursday, 1 April.
The four people inside the property fought back and forced the men outside of the house empty handed.
Two of the victims received minor injuries which required hospital treatment.
Police attended the scene and carried out a forensic examination, as well as recovering CCTV and taking the victim’s statement.
During their investigation they became aware of another aggravated burglary which occurred at a night club in Clacton-on-Sea on the same night, the Met are investigating them both.

PC David Havard of the Met said: “This was a terrifying experience for the family involved and we are committed to tracking down those who carried out this awful crime.
“As part of our enquiries we can now share images of three men who we want to speak to. I would ask anybody who recognises the men in these images to contact police immediately.”
