Police renew appeal after 19-year-old motorcyclist dies in A13 collision

The incident occurred near the Beckton Flyover

Police are renewing their appeal for information following the death of a 19-year-old motorcyclist.

Officers were called to the incident just after 07:00 on Saturday, 15 January to reports that a motorcyclist had come off their bike on the A13 westbound near the Beckton Flyover.

Paramedics arrived alongside the police where they found a 19-year-old man who had come off their bike after colliding with the central reservation. 

He was taken to hospital where he died the following day, Sunday, 16 January. 

His family are still being supported by specially trained officers. 

The investigation is being carried out by the Met’s Serious Collision Unit. 

If anyone may have witnessed the incident or have any dashcam footage of it then they are being urged to reach out to the police.
