Post Office in Buckhurst Hill robbed by men with hammer

A Post Office in Buckhurst Hill has been robbed after staff were threatened with a hammer.

It happened shortly before 1pm yesterday in Queen’s Road when two men entered shouting and demanding cash.

One of the men armed with a hammer leapt over the counter while the other began filling a bag with money.

They then both ran off in the direction of the railway underpass into Lower Queen’s Road.

The men are described as being white, were wearing tracksuits with the hoods up and one wore a scarf across his face.
