Romford man charged with Remembrance Sunday assault

A man from Romford has been charged with assaulting an emergency service worker at a Remembrance Sunday event.

Ben Buckland, of Petersfield Avenue, is accused of attempting to breach police cordons on Whitehall on 8 November last year.

He has been charged with three counts of common assault, involving three Territorial Support Group (TSG) officers.

The 47-year-old received a postal requisition and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 6 May.
