This year, we are once again asking our listeners to help us to Give A Child a Christmas.
It’s a really simple thing to do; all we ask is that you buy an extra toy then bring it to our studio in Laurie Walk in the Liberty Shopping Centre, or take it to GBP Estates in Victoria Road where you can park outside.
Then we will make sure the gift goes to an underprivileged child in our area.
There’s no need to wrap the toys. In fact the agencies we work with do not accept them wrapped so leave that to them.
We need your donations by Monday, 17 December so we have time to get them out to everyone.
Wrap the kids up nice and warm to join us as we launch Christmas in Romford Market.
This year we have dug deep and contributed to this event by sponsoring to help keep the fireworks.
Everyone Active has also helped out so the event will be as spectacular as ever.
Mark Dover will be hosting the stage and acts this year include Reggie and Bollie as well as Time 107.5 Favourite James Smith.
The fun starts at 4:30 and lights go on at 6:30 on Thursday 15th November in Romford Market Place.
Dance the night away with your Favourite station at The RUSSC Club for an Xmas Party not to be missed.
A Spooktacular Event is taking place in Romford Market Place on Saturday 27th October.
There will be fun for all the Family so come and join us as we play some FangTastic music throughout the day.
There will be Puppet shows magicians face-painting and much more available throughout the day.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the Armistice at the end of the First World War.
Havering Council is supporting a campaign called “There But Not There” that will see a large six foot high silhouette of a British soldier from the First World War placed at locations around the borough. We will have Tommy in our window on November 6th and 6th then again on 8th 9th and 10th to remind people of the enormous sacrifice made by servicemen and women in that conflict.
Starting on Sunday 26th at 11am and Running through to 6pm on Monday the 27th The Havering Show is the biggest free event in the Borough with live acts on the Main Stage and lots of fun for all the family.
We will be hosting the main stage and we look forward to seeing you there.
