Teenager charged following Upminster stabbing

The teenager was remanded in custody 

Police have charged a 17-year-old male with section 18 GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. 

The 17-year-old, from Chatham, Kent appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 29, September where he was charged with section 18 GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. 

He was remanded in custody.

This follows an incident which occurred in Marlborough Gardens on Friday 24 September, where a 15-year-old male suffered stab injuries. 

The victim was taken to a major trauma centre by London’s Air Ambulance, his condition is now serious but stable.
