Terrorists from Barking and Ilford called ‘barbarians’ for London Bridge attack

Two terrorists from Barking and one from Ilford have been described as “barbarians who can no way be described as humans” for carrying out the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks.

The comment came as the father and ex-wife of the first victim to be killed spoke at an inquest at the Old Bailey today.

45-year-old, father of two, Xavier Thomas died when terrorists in a van ploughed into crowds before stabbing members of the public in June 2017.

Eight people died and 48 others were seriously injured in what the coroner’s described as “high and terrible drama”.

It will also look at the deaths of the terrorists, 30-year-old Rachid Redouane from Barking, 27-year-old Khuram Butt also from Barking and 22-year-old Youssef Zaghba from Ilford.

The inquests are due to last three months.
