On the first Sunday of every month Havering Mind will speak to us on a specific issue with a special guest.
Ciaran White is events, fundraising and training co-coordinator with the charity.
He says: “We’re very excited. This is a great opportunity to promote mental health, to promote our charity, to try and reach as many people as we can that perhaps wouldn’t necessarily know about us or we wouldn’t necessarily reach them in other ways.
“Baring in the mind the time of night it’s going out (at 10pm on a Sunday night), perhaps not the most happiest or good time of the week, a lot of people might be quite isolated or lonely, perhaps having worries or concern about the long week ahead.
“I think there could be a lot of people listening that might need help or support or might need to listen to other people’s experiences and aren’t sitting there alone.
“The show is very informal, it’s going to be a chat between myself and Mark Dover and then between a guest that will be coming in every month. This month’s guest is a lady called Ellie, who has experienced a number of problems with mental health in the past including bi-polar. She’s accessed various services and she will basically be sharing her experiences.”
The Mental Health Hour launches this Sunday at 10pm on 107.5FM, time1075.net or the Time 107.5 App.
