Two people charged after series of robberies in Harold Hill

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with four offences.

Two people have been charged after a series of robberies in Harold Hill.

It is alleged that, between Thursday, 23 January, and Thursday, 30 January, 2025, young people in Harold Hill were targeted by a pair of males, who threatened them with violence and stole their property.

In one instance, it is alleged a victim was grabbed by the throat and punched. During most of the robberies, it was claimed that a knife was produced.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have both been charged with four offences.

The suspects appeared before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 5 February.

The 18-year-old – Prince Awoyemi (23.12.2006), of Heaton Avenue, Romford – has been remanded until the next hearing in March, while the 17-year-old has been released on bail.

Both will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, 5 March.
