Four teenagers arrested in Dagenham after police chase stolen car through Essex

Police chased the stolen car from Runwell to Dagenham

Four teenagers have been arrested in Dagenham after a stolen car was chased by police through Essex.

A Fiat 500 was spotted by officers in Runwell at around 2.40am on Saturday, 23 November.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised.

It was seen driving dangerously and at high speed.

The car was followed into Dagenham, where the occupants got out and ran off.

Four boys, aged between 14 and 17, were arrested by police.

A 16-year-old boy, from Forest Gate, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop and possession of drugs.

A 17-year-old, from Romford, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, drug-driving and failing to stop.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, from Beckton, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, and failing to stop.

They were all released on bail until Wednesday, 18 December while enquiries continue.
