Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Terry Piccolo, Long Service Foster Carers and Cllr Sue Little attended the event
Awards were presented at the ceremony, held on Saturday, 18 January, to those who had attained 5, 10 and 20 years of fostering children and young people.
Foster carers who have supported the recruitment of new carers throughout 2019 were also acknowledged.
The awards were given by Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Terry Piccolo, and Dan Jones, Service Manager.
Cabinet Member for Children’s and Adult Social Care, Cllr Sue Little, said: “I would like to thank all of our foster carers for everything that they do for our vulnerable children and young people in our communities, your hard work and commitment does not go unnoticed.
“This celebration event is a small way of saying thank you to our foster carers, many of whom have given many years of service and dedication and have helped the Children’s social care service to receive a Good OFSTED rating.”
