Half of the loft conversion at a terraced property in Cambridge Road was alight, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
The 999 first calls to report the fire were made at 12.18pm today. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended the scene.
LFB says the fire was under control at 1.31pm, with damage to the loft and the roof.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage but is under investigation.
