Three arrested in connection with man fatally ‘stabbed in neck’ in Maryland

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old man in Maryland.

Michael Fadeyibi died after he was stabbed in the neck in Henniker Road at around 1.40am on Friday, 6 August.

A post-mortem examination gave the preliminary cause of death as a brain haemorrhage.

Emergency services also found a second man with stab injuries at the scene.

The 19-year-old was taken to an east London hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening.

He was later arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed pending further enquiries until a date at the beginning of September.

Two others, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on Sunday, 9 August for the same charge.

They remain in custody at an east London police station.

A 24-year-old men and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on Sunday, 9 August on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

The pair also remain in custody at an east London police station.

Met Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and further information.
