Billy Greenwood was sentenced at Colchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 7 September after admitting to 17 offences of theft from a shop.
The 28-year-old isn’t allowed to enter The Broadway, or the BP petrol station and Marks and Spencer shop.
Greenwood also can’t own any new or packaged items without a receipt.
The conditions were ordered as part of a three year criminal behaviour order.
He was jailed for 35 weeks and ordered to pay £128 compensation.
